AI Chatbot — Hive Health Advisor
The Hive Health Advisor is an AI-powered chat assistant available across the app. It uses your live ApiaryPilot data — apiaries, hives, inspections, mite counts, harvests, treatments — to answer questions in plain English and help you make better beekeeping decisions.
Where to find it
Look for the sparkle icon in the bottom-right corner of any page inside the app. Click it to open the chat panel without leaving what you were doing.
What you can ask
The assistant is tuned for real, on-the-ground beekeeping questions, for example:
- "Which hives need attention?" — surfaces colonies flagged by recent inspections, mite counts, or missed schedules
- "When should I treat for mites?" — combines your latest counts, configured thresholds, and seasonality
- "How are my colonies doing?" — gives a quick health summary across all apiaries
- "What's my honey yield this season?" — pulls harvest records and compares with last year
You can also ask open-ended questions about queen issues, swarm prevention, feeding, or any general beekeeping topic.
How it works
- All conversations run server-side through a secure backend function — your hive data never leaves ApiaryPilot
- The assistant is given read-only access to your organization's data and cannot modify hives, inspections, or any other records
- Responses stream in real time so you see answers as they're generated
Plan availability
The AI Chatbot is included with Starter, Team, and Commercial plans. Free trial users also get full access during their 7-day trial.
Tip: The more inspection and mite-count data you log, the more useful the assistant becomes — it can only advise on what's been recorded.
